Cheapo make up haul!

Late update because I'm practically out almost everyday! xD

Been doing some last minute accessories shopping for prom. Prom ended yesterday night and it was indeed awesome! Spent the night with a wonderful landscape view of KL city. KL is really beautiful viewed from up high! All the pretty city lights!

Okay, onto my make up haul! The reason why i put 'cheapo' on the post title because most of the items are discounted items hehe. I admit that I'm a really kiam siap person when it comes to buying things. I'll be thinking 'So expensive! I'm sure there are cheaper ones out there." and end up walking the entire shopping mall looking for a cheaper item. Even if the price is lesser by RM3 I'm already satisfied haha! That's how much of a cheapskate i am!

Since it's that time of year where there are sales everywhere on everything be it cosmetics, clothes, shoes and even electronics. I couldn't help but spend a little more to grab some items with awesome deals. A trip down to Sunway Pyramid and I've bought so many items! Will also include a short review of some items that I've used.

Shopping loot of the day! A total of 7 items! (I counted the nail polishes and masks as one item)
When shopping, I'll only end up buying max 3 items or sometimes nothing at all. But for this time, i really couldn't resist! 8D

Daiso's individual lower lashes.

As usual, everything in Daiso is RM5. So of course you can find me hanging and lurking around any Daiso outlets often. :P I wanted to try out a few looks that needed individual bottom lashes so i got these.

 Nail polish!

I have a rather minuscule collection and hope to expand it! Bought all of them from Sasa. Top row is a brand 'Eleanor' which I've never heard of. I think this was 3 for RM9.90. Bottom row is from Color Combos! Have heard about this brand. Apparently, CC is only available in Sasa outlets only. Seen some good reviews of their products, maybe I'll try them out in future. :D 3 of them also for RM9.90! Really good deal!

I used the peach Eleanor nail polish along with CC's glitter and top/base coat nail polish for prom. And the color turned out really pretty! Though i had to apply 2 layers of the glitter one but that's how every glitter polishes are right?

Turns out that it wasn't really peach! It's more of a soft baby pink. In some lighting it does look a little peach but this is the most accurate color i can get. But i still love it anyway! And the glitter really twinkles! <3
The top/base coat really sealed everything and smoothed the surface of my nail. Usually after the layer of glitter dries, if you run you finger across your nail, you'd feel the uneven surface of the glitter. But the top/base coat made my nails ultra smooth!

Mist toner/ finishing spray by Sasa's own line Sasatinnie.

 Got this for RM10 only! Original price was RM22.90 if i'm not mistaken. The salesgirl was even using a bottle of her own! Can be used before make up as a toner (duh!) or after make up as a finishing spray to help keep everything in place. 

4 for RM10 masks! 8D

There are also the 4 for RM20 ones but meh, over budget lol! (cheapskate talk)
These are also from Sasatinnie. First time buying their masks! So far i haven't come across any masks that breaks me out or make my skin worse so yeah, shall give it a try. My usual masks are mostly from Watsons, and The Face Shop or Etude House if they're having promotions. :P

I was looking for a new foundation/ BB cream that suits my super-oily-till-can-fry-egg skin and after much research i found out that this suits me the most. The previous BB cream that i'm using is Elianto's Miracle Multiplex and it made my skin even oilier. D:

Maybelline's Clear Smooth 2 Way Cake Powder.

By '2 way' it meant that the powder can be used at either a wet or dry texture i think? I guess that's what the salesgirl said heh. I'm using the shade 02 Natural.
The original price for this was RM29.90 i think? Forgive my terrible memory. :( Wastsons had it discounted to around RM14+-!

My previous Pure Fresh Oil Control pressed powder from Silky Girl didn't work well for me as it made my face cakey and it's oil control is so-so.

Did a lot or research too and found that this was the best for my skin. I really like browsing US or UK make up forums because they're really informative and the members are extremely helpful! :D

I used Kiss Me's BB Matte Liquid with this powder for prom and it lasted the whole night through! My face looked so smooth and bright! Bright as in fair and not dull looking. Was jumping around during the dance session and sweat a little but it still stayed on my face! Even after dancing, i took some photos but my face still looked fine. No shiny face at all! (Y)

Watsons face wipes for make up!

Bought it for the usual price of 2 packets for RM5.90

Previously, i used Silkygirl's Hydra Clean make up remover which was a thick creamy texture but i'm really lazy to use it with cotton pads. But it does remove make up quite well and it smells nice.

Then, i switched to Biore's Cleansing Oil cotton wipes cause face wipes are much more convenient and easy for lazy asses like me haha! I really like this product because each sheet of face wipe is full of the cleansing oil and you can like literally squeeze out the oil in it! This made my make up removing much easier. It even comes with a box so you can use it like tissues! And when it's finished, you can just refill it. The downside of this product that the smell of the oil is quite strong, for me at least. The scent made me feel a little dizzy. D:
That's why i've stopped using it. But it's highly recommended if you're looking for a good make up remover wipes!

And then i ended up with this Watsons face wipes! It was during C2AGE this year that i discovered this. :D
I forgot to bring my Biore cleansing wipes so i ended up looking for some cheap ones from Watsons. Found this one and gave it a try. First impression was the wipes' nice smell! Smells like flowers! The wipes was quite filled with the cleansing water but not as much as Biore's. It removes my make up quite easily too, but i do need to use a little more pressure than using Biore's. After removing make up, my skin feels really moist and little bit oily but while using Biore's, my skin felt super oily as if i poured baby oil on my face lol. Am glad that i discovered this awesome yet affordable product!

And i also found out that Singaporean blogger Qiu Qiu uses this face wipes too from one of her Budget barbie episodes! 8D

Bangkok haul!

During Chinese New Year, my family and i went for a trip to Bangkok, Thailand!

Totally forgot to put a festive wish here due to being busy, tired and dad forgot to pay the internet bill last month, so yeah, Happy Belated Chinese New Year to all celebrating CNY! :D May the year of the dragon bring you great roar! *Quote from random shop. So anyways! About my trip to Bangkok, to sum it up, it was kinda boring lah. Because i was sick for 3 days out of the 6 days we were there. Had a terrible fever and sore throat and had to stay and rest in the hotel as i cannot stand under the hot sun! D:

On the third day of our trip, which is coincidentally the first day of CNY! Even though i wasn't feeling any better, my parents made me go to a small Thai temple and pray to the Four-Faced Buddha there. I prayed and wished that my sickness will go away quick and it did the next day! Went back there and thank the Buddha. m(_ _)m

Didn't take much pics there so this shall be a pictureless post. All we did there was shop, shop, shop! Places which are good to shop are MBK, Terminal 21 and Platinum Fashion City. Seriously, if Isla Fisher wasn't into branded stuff, she would die shopping there! *Confessions of a Shopaholic*

So after i got home, i immediately took pics of my loots! Here they are!

TA-DAAAA! 8D So happy to find this! Ans it's only 120 baht @ RM12 woohoo! Bangkok's currency, Baht to Malaysian RM is very easy to calculate! All you have to do is cancel off the 0 at the back, like a bawse. :D

Shall test out the palette and lip gloss soon, along with a review! :D

The only thing i regret about thsi trip to Bangkok is that i didn't get to each much of the local food there, not that it's any great (Sorry lah! But srsly can't beat Malaysian food leh. :P) but i'm a food person and i love to taste and try out any new food. OMNOM. 8D

Also! I saw this store at Platinum mall selling all those contouring and highlighting set, dunnohowmanycolors lip and blush palette and dunnohowmanyshade concealer i always see selling online and at LYN and was soooooooo effing tempted to get it cuz it was selling at price lower than Malaysia! But i was such a cheapskate i thought i could've find it cheaper at MBK (where all the super cheap and rip-off make ups are and where i got my lip gloss) but apparently they didn't have any. And my parents didn't want to go back to Platinum as it was too far from my hotel. D: SIGHS! I IS LE REGRET! T_____T DEAR SELF, Y U SO CHEAPSKATE?! T^T

Anyways! This is my first official post for the year 2012! Yaaaaay!

So school's starting like, tomorrow. Not really looking forward to it. Still wanna slack just a little longer! D:
Haven't really packed my school stuff as i just got back from Sabah this afternoon. Still haven't unpack my clothes from the luggage too! Gahhhhhh so much packing and unpacking to do!

Since i have nothing much interesting to say. I shall make my first post of the year a shopping loot post!

Back in Sabah (Gawd! How i miss the beach! )':), i've bought a few items at a really good price! Stuff in Sabah is cheaper than KL but their food isn't. Since all of their seafood are FRESH caught from the sea, the price of a bowl of Tom Yam fish noodles is about  RM7 wtf! But it's worth it lah! Since the fish is super fresh and tasty.

Adorable Hello Kitty masks by Sexy Look! :D

There were four types available, three of the above and another one with the similar design as the dark pink packet one just that the pink was of a lighter shade. But it's sold out so i didn't get to buy it. :/

My sis chionged the dark pink one so i'm left with the two cute Hello Kitty face ones!

The kitty mask with the darker pink bow can tighten and close pores as well as making your face smoother and more QQ. The light pink kitty mask has whitening power. Shall try them out and make a review! :D

Yes! It's a make up brush set! *givesvirtualcookie* It has a total of 12 brushes *counts*
Bought it from a shop called e Noveal for RM25 discounted price, used to be RM35. According to my cousin sis, they're make up stuff are cheap and nice! She recommended me to buy the brushes they sell. She's right! The brushes are so smooth and silky! But cheap brushes comes with a price, it needs to be taken good care of. Shall not be lazy!

This i bought it in KL haha! Elianto was having a half price sale and i bought this Solution Concealer Stick in the shade 02 Medium. I don't really like using liquid concealer so i thought if trying out cream based concealer.

Cosplans for AFA and CF + shopping loot!

Okay, so there's like exactly ONE WEEK to AFA. And it's in Singapore! 8D

It's been like a zillion years since my last visit there! So excited to go back there after so long! Will be staying at Singapore for a 5 days and 4 nights. Two days fully dedicated for AFA! :P

Anyways, i'm here to reveal my cosplans for AFA, as well as CF. Since i'm too poor to afford anymore costumes. And i can't sew! D: Fine, i know some basic sewing skills and i did sew ribbons before but that's not enough! I really really really (x10000000000) wanted to take up sewing classes but i can't as i'm still studying fml! Maybe after SPM? Idk. But for now, i haz to burn hole in wallet to buy costumes. oTL

On to the cosplans! There are 3 days for AFA but i'm only attending day 2 and 3.

Day 2:

Mayuri Shiina from Steins; Gate.

COME ON! Everybody agrees that Mayuri is super kyut! What drove me to cosplay her is cuz she's not only cute, but she's a caring and lovely person! And sort of a peacemaker. :) Plus her costume is simple and airy.

Day 3:

Mayoi Hachikuji from Bakemonogatari.

AWW AIN'T SHE CUTE?! It seems like i have a liking for cute characters. :P
I kinda like the Bakemonogatari series because it's not those lovey dovey and fighting type. More subtle yet mysterious. And Mayoi is one of my favorite characters from the series. :)
And her school bag is so goddamn cute OMG! Plus her costume is pretty much airy too.

My Mayuri dress! <3 It came a little too long so it needs to be altered. And the hat is too small to be worn if i were to wear a wig. GAHH! Shall do some altering to that too.

My Mayoi dress! <3 Didn;t bought this from taobao though. It was locally tailored by Kikyo, a well-kn-own tailor for cosplay costumes. Love the cherry at the bottom! It was painted on but i was hoping that it would be sewn on. ;__; Shall re-edit it in future by myself!

Annnd lastly, my Mayoi bag! 8D It was locally tailored too. By a really awesome tailor Mikano. It turn out quite nice! Though it is a little too big. D: My fault anyway, gave her measurements which are too big. But nevertheless it's super cute! :3

Some other stuff i bought too are Mayoi and Mayuri wigs, black boots and a pocket watch for Mayuri. BUT. Something went wrong... Instead of getting a nice pocket watch, i got these.

Some random fur tail key chains! D: Was so shocked and mad! I inquired Lumix who helped me order my stuff and she too was shocked. But there's nothing i can do so i had to sell 'em off to get back my money and get a new pocket watch! Luckily Fenix from CF forums bought them once i posted it in the forums. Thanks alot! <3

Loot i got from Daiso! An angled brush, pink cheek blush, duo eyelash glue,dried mascara reviver, a green bangle for Mayoi and some partial lash! :3 Reviews coming up!

And also a pair of sunglasses and fake specs from Chictoe Fashion at FB! OMG they're too cute to not buy! Love the ribbon on the top maxx! The shop owner even gave me free pos laju! Thanks dear! <3

Still have some parts of my costumes to complete. Like the small accessories and props etc. Oh, and some wig trimming. *dies* And i have to pack my luggage too gahh! Hope i'll manage to complete them by this friday!

Or last resort, i can always skip school to complete 'em! I mean no one attends school anymore since the holidays are like next week! xD
