Too late for Happy New Year?

Hello hello!

Happy New Year 2013 to everyone!

Lol i'm super late. xD

The Internet connection around my housing area has been a total bitch. Sometimes it's there, and the next second everything gets disconnected. -___- So actually i made this post on the first day of this year but it has to be delayed till today lol. /fail

Anyways! New Year's resolution time! But first, time to do some checking on last year's list. Feels weird labeling 2012 as 'last year' since it's like 4 days ago? And on New Year's day, on Facebook and Twitter, my friends decided to be trolls by putting up statuses like 'I haven't showered/ate/slept/etc since last year' haha. Okay, onto last year's resolution! I hope i've accomplished alot. >__<

2012 resoulutions! 

1) Of course, study hard and score better in school exams. Aiming to at least bringing up all of my failed subjects like Add Maths and Moral orz!- Can lah! I got a C for Add Maths and B for Moral woot! For trials. :D 

2) Score at least 5A's among the 10 subjects for SPM. i've had 5As for UPSR and PMR so why not give it another 5 lol! If got more better loh!
- Don't know yet! But i'm starting to get worried and nervous already. :/ Even though results day is like March. 

3) Do better and improve on cosplay! As well as improvising previous failed cosplays. So far my most successful one is Mayushii others can go down the drain liao oTL.
- Haven't been cosplaying much last year. Didn't have the time cuz of SPM so this resolution rather failed orz. 

4) Complete all planned solo and partner cosplays! Still in the process of sorting out. Will reveal soon. And i'm so happy to find partners and groups for certain cosplays! Shiawase maxx! :3
- FAILED! Really really no time orz orz. /excuses 

5) Lose some more weight and exercise moar! Had lost 2kg by the end of this year yaaaaaaay! But might gain in back during CNY lololol! Must lose more more more! 8D- I did lose some weight hahahahha. Thanks to all the studying i skipped dinner alot. Lol unhealthy i know but i ended up loosing 2 kg. :D But i'm still chubby orz 

6) Practice piano more often. Sighs! Can feel my piano skills rusting. But my piano teacher still can tahan me! She's so kind! :C
- HAHAHHAHA failed horribly. My mom asked me to stop going for piano classes starting June last year and i've been rusty since then.  

7) Reduce usage of computer. This be hard! But shall try my best for the sake of my results!
- LOL failed too. The computer and i are soul mates. :3 

8) Be more succesful in make up yet not become too fa qiao. Lol wth using make up adi cinsidered fa qiao loh!- YES! I can happily say that i did improve my make up! Bought and used all the right products for my skin. Didn't have any caking during events. And i feel that my eye make up has improved! Thank you YouTube! 8D 

9) Not be a cheapskate and try to buy birthday presents for friends. I shall change! So look out! You might expect an awesome gift from me for your borthday hahaha! xD- HAHAHA i can't believe i made such a resolution! xD But yeah! I've been rather generous and *cough* thoughtful enough to remember my closer friend's birthday and even get/make them gifts.  

10) Treasure friends and cherish every moment possible. Last year of high school man! Although i really really feel like gtfo high school but then there's a part in me who just can't seem to really let go of it just yet. I admit that my heart is so hard that i won't cry in any movies where peepol die but cry when a dog is dying wtf but i just might tear up during farewell. Who knows? :(- I did. And i really miss them right now. Really enjoyed during our class trip last year! And on the way back home in the bus, we all shared our thoughts about each other and made touching speeches and thanks and almost everyone including me cried/teared up. I was really surprised even some of the guys did. :') 

So i accomplished 5 out of 10 in my list! Not bad not bad haha. Glad that i managed to strike out at least half of my list. :D Now onto this year's resolution!

2013 resolutions!

1) LOSE WEIGHT! I have my serious shit face on this time. Mom has been forcing me to exercise for at least 30 mins everyday. Hope I'll get used to it! I'll just have to break up my long term relationship with desserts and all things yummy. :C

2) Cope with college. I hope i can make some new friends asap. And cope with the work and classes. And of course do well in exams and assessments. Gawd just thinking bout all that is giving me a headache. D: HAVE TO SURVIVE!

3) Improve cosplay! Not sure if i have the time but i'll try my best to improve. Promised to do some partner plans with partner in crime (lol) Seki! Finally get to cosplay with her after so long. :3

4) Don't spend too much on cosplay. This is also a must! Shall try to use some money on clothes, shoes, skin care etc. Cosplay will always be a part of my life but it's still considered as a rather expensive hobby. :/ I need to control! I have to keep in mind that i'm still young and still have plenty of my youth to cosplay lol.

5) IF i can, sleep more AT NIGHT. I admit i'm more of a night person. I'll end up taking long naps in the afternoon and staying up late at night lol. I need to reverse this! xD

6) Don't lose contact with close high school friends. Yes, this always happens. We meet new friends in college and move on with our lives. I really hope to keep in contact with my high school friends and hopefully meet up with them sometimes.

7) Look after my skin. I don't really have much of a skin problem, except that it's rather filled with blackheads and it's super freaking oily. Must remind myself to use masks every weekend.


Hmm, i guess that's about it. I hope i can complete more this year compared to last year lol.

Again, wishing everyone a happy new year! May this year be better than the last! I mean come on, we awesome human beings survived the end of the freaking world lol.

Oh, and happy January 4th ! It's a really special day today! I'll explain why.

For some reason, the Chinese writes 'I Love You' (我爱你/wo ai ni) as 520 in numbers. And while writing dates, Chinese writes the year first, followed by the month and date. So today is 2013/1/4. If using the 520 thingy and saying the numbers in Mandarin, it'll be '爱(2) 你(0) 一(1)  生(3)  一(1)  世(4)' or 'ai ni yi sheng yi shi' which means loving you for eternity. So creative right! And so sweet at the same time. :D

And apparently they'll be a lot of couples getting married and a lot of people confessing their love to their partners today! This is like Valentine's Day level 9000 lol. xD And apparently there's going to be a Chinese movie about today. :3

Lowyat.net haul!

This is a very delayed post. xD

This haul was actually during late April this year but i guess i spent most of my free time sleeping or doing something else. What! I have really short sleeping hours this year. :C

Anyways! As every Malaysian online shopper knows, Lowyat.net is a haven for cheap goods! You can even find brand new items there too AND at a discounted/ lower price than retail shops. That's what i love about online shopping! If the seller provides free shipping, even better lol!

Onto my haul items!

\ ( o A o ) / RMK, Majolica Majorca, Lancome and Shu Uemura! Have never owned any of the products from these brand before so I'm kinda happy to be able to get all these items at a great price. :D

RMK Creamy Polished Base, shade 01.

As the name states, this is a make up base. Makes make up stay longer and provide a smooth and bright 'canvas' for foundation/ concealer! It also covers large pores! This can be used alone too as a foundation for light coverage. This is a pre-loved item so the price was about RM30. Retail price (from Sasa.com) is USD93.9, which is around RM280 + wtf. I think the previous owner bought this item at a discounted price too. Why would she sell it at such a freaking low price? D: She claims that she only used it twice and when i got it, it still feels kinda full. So yeah. Score!

Tested it once and it really made my skin smooth! It also somehow brighten my skin because my skin seem a little glowy under certain lighting. <3 As for pore covering, i have super huge pores fml but it did managed to cover them. So i'm quite satisfied with this base!

RMK Ingenious Cheek Blush, color Pale Pink.

This blush is a FREE item from the RMK base purchase! The seller was having this buy 1 free 1 promo so of course i took this chance to buy something. :D Among all the items that i can get for free, i thought getting a blush is more worth it because i use it more often than the nail polishes, dramatic colored eye shadows and make up brushes she offered. Plus the only blush i have is a RM5 Daiso blush which is a little too pink for my liking.

This blush turned out to be... Too pale orz. It seems more of a highlighter than a blush. Like to give your face an overall pinkish glow, you can use this all over your face. Since it's really light, i'd layer this over my overly pink Daiso blush to tone down the color.

Shu Uemura Stage Performer Instant Glow primer.

This is the travelling pack version of the primer. Got this for RM20! The product is sort of a pearly white watery cream and disappears onto the skin when applied. It gives your face a radiant glow as well to brighten up dull complexion. Tried using this along with the RMK base plus a little pressed powder and it really brighten up my face! I have a rather dull complexion due to pimple scars so it really works well for me.

Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek, (L) Apricot Macaron / (R) Peach Macaron

THIS IS WAY TOO CUTE! :3 Pretty and cute item packaging really catches my eye easily! Got this both for RM45., which is RM22.5 for one. Retail price is RM45.90 for ONE! :O
The previous owner never used it before! She only tested it with her fingers. The puffs came clean! So it's practically unused! Always wanted to own a slightly more orangey blush for a sun kissed look. The two blushers isn't really as pigmented as usual blushers as i need to apply it a few times on my cheek for the color to really show up. But overall am loving the colors!

Lancome Color Fever Shine Lipstick, color 308.

Got this for RM30! Can't seem to find the correct retail price. Since it's Lancome, i assume that it's quite pricey. >__< This lippie's shade seems peachy at first, but it's more of a baby pink when applied to my lips. Though it may appear peachy in certain lighting but mostly it's baby pink! Just the shade of pink i want. :3 

That's all! Been so busy nowadays going to college's for their open days and educational fairs and whatnot. :/ All this college thing, really... just stahp! D: I hope i can come to a decision soon.

Cheapo make up haul!

Late update because I'm practically out almost everyday! xD

Been doing some last minute accessories shopping for prom. Prom ended yesterday night and it was indeed awesome! Spent the night with a wonderful landscape view of KL city. KL is really beautiful viewed from up high! All the pretty city lights!

Okay, onto my make up haul! The reason why i put 'cheapo' on the post title because most of the items are discounted items hehe. I admit that I'm a really kiam siap person when it comes to buying things. I'll be thinking 'So expensive! I'm sure there are cheaper ones out there." and end up walking the entire shopping mall looking for a cheaper item. Even if the price is lesser by RM3 I'm already satisfied haha! That's how much of a cheapskate i am!

Since it's that time of year where there are sales everywhere on everything be it cosmetics, clothes, shoes and even electronics. I couldn't help but spend a little more to grab some items with awesome deals. A trip down to Sunway Pyramid and I've bought so many items! Will also include a short review of some items that I've used.

Shopping loot of the day! A total of 7 items! (I counted the nail polishes and masks as one item)
When shopping, I'll only end up buying max 3 items or sometimes nothing at all. But for this time, i really couldn't resist! 8D

Daiso's individual lower lashes.

As usual, everything in Daiso is RM5. So of course you can find me hanging and lurking around any Daiso outlets often. :P I wanted to try out a few looks that needed individual bottom lashes so i got these.

 Nail polish!

I have a rather minuscule collection and hope to expand it! Bought all of them from Sasa. Top row is a brand 'Eleanor' which I've never heard of. I think this was 3 for RM9.90. Bottom row is from Color Combos! Have heard about this brand. Apparently, CC is only available in Sasa outlets only. Seen some good reviews of their products, maybe I'll try them out in future. :D 3 of them also for RM9.90! Really good deal!

I used the peach Eleanor nail polish along with CC's glitter and top/base coat nail polish for prom. And the color turned out really pretty! Though i had to apply 2 layers of the glitter one but that's how every glitter polishes are right?

Turns out that it wasn't really peach! It's more of a soft baby pink. In some lighting it does look a little peach but this is the most accurate color i can get. But i still love it anyway! And the glitter really twinkles! <3
The top/base coat really sealed everything and smoothed the surface of my nail. Usually after the layer of glitter dries, if you run you finger across your nail, you'd feel the uneven surface of the glitter. But the top/base coat made my nails ultra smooth!

Mist toner/ finishing spray by Sasa's own line Sasatinnie.

 Got this for RM10 only! Original price was RM22.90 if i'm not mistaken. The salesgirl was even using a bottle of her own! Can be used before make up as a toner (duh!) or after make up as a finishing spray to help keep everything in place.

These are also from Sasatinnie. First time buying their masks! So far i haven't come across any masks that breaks me out or make my skin worse so yeah, shall give it a try. My usual masks are mostly from Watsons, and The Face Shop or Etude House if they're having promotions. :P

I was looking for a new foundation/ BB cream that suits my super-oily-till-can-fry-egg skin and after much research i found out that this suits me the most. The previous BB cream that i'm using is Elianto's Miracle Multiplex and it made my skin even oilier. D:

Maybelline's Clear Smooth 2 Way Cake Powder.

By '2 way' it meant that the powder can be used at either a wet or dry texture i think? I guess that's what the salesgirl said heh. I'm using the shade 02 Natural.
The original price for this was RM29.90 i think? Forgive my terrible memory. :( Wastsons had it discounted to around RM14+-!

My previous Pure Fresh Oil Control pressed powder from Silky Girl didn't work well for me as it made my face cakey and it's oil control is so-so.

Did a lot or research too and found that this was the best for my skin. I really like browsing US or UK make up forums because they're really informative and the members are extremely helpful! :D

I used Kiss Me's BB Matte Liquid with this powder for prom and it lasted the whole night through! My face looked so smooth and bright! Bright as in fair and not dull looking. Was jumping around during the dance session and sweat a little but it still stayed on my face! Even after dancing, i took some photos but my face still looked fine. No shiny face at all! (Y)

Watsons face wipes for make up!

Bought it for the usual price of 2 packets for RM5.90

Previously, i used Silkygirl's Hydra Clean make up remover which was a thick creamy texture but i'm really lazy to use it with cotton pads. But it does remove make up quite well and it smells nice.

Then, i switched to Biore's Cleansing Oil cotton wipes cause face wipes are much more convenient and easy for lazy asses like me haha! I really like this product because each sheet of face wipe is full of the cleansing oil and you can like literally squeeze out the oil in it! This made my make up removing much easier. It even comes with a box so you can use it like tissues! And when it's finished, you can just refill it. The downside of this product that the smell of the oil is quite strong, for me at least. The scent made me feel a little dizzy. D:
That's why i've stopped using it. But it's highly recommended if you're looking for a good make up remover wipes!

And then i ended up with this Watsons face wipes! It was during C2AGE this year that i discovered this. :D
I forgot to bring my Biore cleansing wipes so i ended up looking for some cheap ones from Watsons. Found this one and gave it a try. First impression was the wipes' nice smell! Smells like flowers! The wipes was quite filled with the cleansing water but not as much as Biore's. It removes my make up quite easily too, but i do need to use a little more pressure than using Biore's. After removing make up, my skin feels really moist and little bit oily but while using Biore's, my skin felt super oily as if i poured baby oil on my face lol. Am glad that i discovered this awesome yet affordable product!

And i also found out that Singaporean blogger Qiu Qiu uses this face wipes too from one of her Budget barbie episodes! 8D

So tomorrow is officially the last day of SPM WOOHOO! I'll be having my final Economics paper, finishing at 4pm. Gonna be a long day but bah! At least it's the end of all damnation! So damn lazy to study hard for Econ but i want to higher the chance of me getting a higher scholarship. :C

As I mentioned earlier, my schedule after SPM is rather packed. Having prom on the 10th and not enough time to shop for my prom stuff. So far I've got my dress (which wasn't really my dream prom dress, bought it  in a hurry) and prolly gonna hijack one of mom's heels or if i can look for a nicer one in time.

And then there's Comic Fiesta! Might only be able to go for only Day 1 because my uncle and his family from Australia will be visiting KL FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME, and their Malaysians...
Well! At least there are some people way more unpatriotic than i am.
I've actually bought the 2 day early bird ticket but might sell it off to my friends. Not even sure if I'm able to even get inside the event hall thanks to last year's mess. :/ Anyways, i'll still be looking forward to meet up and camwhore with cosplay buddies! Not forgetting the mass COD-ing i have to do.

Oh wait! Might not have enough time to learn to drive either. Since my schedule for December is super packed and I'll most prolly be starting College next Jan. It's not that i want to start early! If given the choice I'll definitely start on March. But my course's intake is either on Jan or July... July is too freaking long for a break and by the time I might end up a hikikomori slacking and rotting at home. D: So i have no choice but to go for the Jan intake.

The time has come.

So in exactly 7 hours more. I'll be sitting for the examination of damnation aka SPM. D:

As usual, the first paper would be BM. One of he few subjects I'm hopeful of.

To be honest, I haven't been really studying super hardcore like others. And up till now I admit feeling extremely guilty and about it. See, it's happening again. I knew I'll regret yet I still don't put in any hard work or effort. That's how freaking lazy I am. :(

Even yesterday (Sunday), I didn't really feel nervous or scared. Maybe it's because I'm confident? Or is it that I don't bother? So much mixed feelings I don't even... T____T but then the kan cheong-ness started to kick in around the evening so I guess that's alright.

Well, all I CAN do now is do my very very best in all the papers to come! I know it's not enough but I will do my utmost best. I have to believe in myself!

That aside, here's a list of to-dos and things that I'm looking forward to AFTER SPM HOHOHO. 8D in no particular order.

1) LEARN TO DRIVE A CAR GODAMMIT! Have been wanting to do this forever but don't have the time /excuse but before that I have to retake my undang which have been forever postponed because... No time orz /foreverexcuse

2) CLEAN AND CLEAR MY ROOM. My room is like a dump site. Literally looks like the aftermath of a typhoon lol. Need to clean and tidy it up and have to throw away a hell lot of unwanted stuff.

3) SELL ALL THE UNWANTED THINGS. Clothes, accessories, story books, face/body/whatever products, other random shit and most importantly REFERENCE BOOKS MUAHAHAHA!

4) REVAMP MY WARDROBE + PROM DRESS HUNTING. As I'll be starting college next year, I thought I'd want to look more like an adult. No more tee shirts and shorts/jeans please. Can use the money earned from sales to buy new clothes! As for prom dress, don't really wanna spend too much on it since I'll only be wearing it once.

5) GET NEW FURNITURE FOR MY ROOM. Since my parents and I switched room due to some feng shui thingy, my current room is lacking of a bookshelf and a proper study table. My current table is like some random cacat foldable table and my books are stacked on the floor lol. Can imagine how messy it is. :/

6) CLASS TRIP! 3 days 2 night trip to Penang and langkawi I think? Time for some quality time with my dear classmates! :D

7) PROM. Hmm dunno how should I feel about this. Half excited, half no shit given lol.

8) SETTLE CF PLAN. Not much to settle actually since the characters I chose this year are quite simple and doesn't have much accessories and props whatsoever. And I'll be going solo too. Just need to make sure I got everything. Oh, and need to get contacts sighs. /moneygone

9) PRACTICE MAKE UP! I shall! Don't wanna fail yet again! I want to have that proud feeling of doing justice to a character! TwT

10) LOSE WEIGHT ORZ. The only thing that's making me fail in every cosplay. T____T I have really large bones and a lot of meat so it makes me look really bulky like some amazon warrior lol. And I'm not really tall so yeah. Shall work hard on this too! I wanna be fit and look good ! ヽ(；▽；)ノ

11) WATCH ALL THE ANIMES. Hah! A must on almost every to-do list lol. Old ones, new ones, ongoing ones. So many of them!

12) READ ALL THE BOOKS! Bought a couple of books from book fairs and cheap sales and they still remain untouched. :(

13) BALIK KAMPUNGS? Yeah prolly going back to visit my sick aunt and to meet my overseas cousins which I haven't seen in a very long time! Why are my hometowns at the other side of Malaysia orz!

14) RANDOM OUTING WITH FRIENDS. Bound to happen since everyone's celebrating haha! :D

That's about it! So much to do in a month! I hope I'll be able to accomplish everything. :D

Nah it's just SPM actually. Just. Just. How the hell can I say that so calmly. T_______T

As doomsday is coming, I still don't understand why am I so chill and relaxed wtf. Thinking back when I had UPSR or PMR I was studying my ass off weeks before the exam. So I've come to a conclusion that the older I get, the lazier I become. Hypothesis accepted, as proven ^

I'm so worried I won't be able to answer the questions and I know I'll surely regret if I don't work hard yet I can't force myself to do it. D: SELF Y U NO STUDY AND BE HARDWORKING. And they say Tauruses are hard workers. Something might have gone wrong somewhere.

My most weakest subjectS are Modern Math, Add Math and Accounts. All calculation subjects. Yes, so the myth about all Asians are math geniuses is broken ! Call me a #failasian now. (´Д` )

That aside, I do have a couple of strong subjects (A-B range) like English, General Science, Moral and... Wait for it...
Bahasa Malaysia.

Hah! Didn't see that coming huh! So grateful to have been tutored by my awesome BM tuition teacher. （＾∇＾）

I've always done better in memorizing subjects. I guess my brain's that way. Not Sejarah though. Thanks to all those stupid structured questions and essays. I used to do quite well when I was in Form 1 - Form 3 when all we had to do is circle and tembak objective questions ho! 8D

And so, here comes my SPM goal!

I took Chinese because I was FORCED to. My high school has this stupid rule where any student from a Chinese primary school is required to take Chinese for both PMR AND SPM. So dumb! But thank god I'm doing okay in Chinese. B is slightly higher than my usual C and C+ but I hope I can make it! Aimed low for the calculation subjects cuz I really have low confidence on these 3. :/ despite everyone claiming how easy it'll be in the actual exam. Took English Literature as an extra subject in hope it'll be able to compensate my Cs haha! At least I'm doing fine there. ^_^
Bold goal for Sejarah but I'll do my best and hope my brain can store Sejarah well like I did previously! Ekonomi is boring ttm so yeah. The A+ ones are those which I'm really confident in.

Graduation ceremony in a week! So is the last day of school... Like forever. Boy am I gonna miss high school. :/

Graduation... Already?

Yes, it's been really boring nowadays...

Since our SPM trials are over, all the teachers seem to be either busy marking our screwed up exam papers or just literally doing nothing. D: So basically it's liek free period FOR THE WHOLE DAY LOL.

So i'm sorta planning to not go to school at all right after i got all of my exam papers heh. :3 Since PMR will be coming soon around beginning of October, and the school seems a little more quiet with lesser Form 3's taking their self-announced study leave lol. It might be worse after PMR though, maybe only a quarter of the Form 3 population will turn up... Not surprising though, it's always like this every year end. And i bet us Form 5's population will decrease drastically right after PMR too. Study leave ftw! (Y) :D

And the whole morning session will only consists of the Form 4's and Form 6's.

So my classmates have already started asking the teachers about graduation. Most of them thniks that it will be before SPM. Somewhere around mid October. And we'll have to practice for the graduation ceremony, like all those going on stage and retrieving certificates and stuff. SO that means i'll still have to go to school fml...

Each class will have to send around 15 representatives to go on stage to sing a song on graduation too. I somehow got dragged into this by my friends but ah well, once in a lifetime experience right? (:

Sheesh, all this talk about graduation and all... Makes me feel somehow sorrowful. (LOL HELLO GARRY! xD) I mean, ever since i was in Form 3 i was all "Ohhh i wanna graduate ASAP and leave this hell!" but come to think of it now, i do have the slight feeling of not hoping to leave that quick... :'C

Ahhhhhh i'm being so emo and shit! Stop stop! Still have to freaking study! PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER WOMAN!

Seriously, i have never been into an anime character this much. And it's getting out of hand ahhhh. D: Kuroko no Basket has unleashed the fangirl lying deep down in me wtf. Fujimaki Tadatoshi you really are one helluva awesome mangaka! Thank you so much for have written this manga! *w*

With SPM closing in, i think i better start planning on my Comic Fiesta plan asap. Don't think i'll have much time preparing during that period of time either. Either way, my plan this year is to keep it simple. So far i have a few characters in my mind, but i'm just so indecisve i just can't decide on two. :S Still unsure whether to go as Mary. But it would be so weird without having Ib and Garry, right...? Oh well.

I'll make a rant on a game instead. This time, Ib.

First heard some guy classmates talking about this game, Ib during May, i think. They seem really excited so i joined the conversation and they told me more about this game.

So they said it was a horror game. WHAT HORROR NO WAY UH-UH. I'm a total chicken when it comes to literally ANYTHING horror-related. Even ghost stories! Reminiscing the days where i played Hotel 626 when i was 12 with a bunch of equally chicken guy friends back in primary school. I had nightmares for a few nights. D':

Despite them telling me it's not really scary, i still didn't have the courage (or time :/) to play the game. Then Felix told me that it's a 8-bit game and it wasn't really scary as there weren't any ghosts and all. Just some moving potraits and sculptures. (Oops is that a spoiler? :D) That sorta relieved me abit. But still, the thought of playing a horror game alone still terrifies me. D:

After a few months, Ib suddenly got really popular and even cosplays of the game were out! Many said that it's a really good game and worth a play! So i finally decided to do some research about the game and even downloaded it wtf WHAT AM I THINKING?! D: And even twinneh Joanne played the game and made a review of it here.

So during the Raya holidays, i dragged my semi-chicken (LOL. She's not really a chicken but her balls of steel are greater than mine! xD) sister along for company!

Wtf why is the opening music so creepy?! Makes me want to 'exit' already LOL!

So the game started off quite smoothly, until...

SHIT SOMETHING'S GONNA HAPPEN NOOOOOO.

Afterwards, the music got really creepy and eerie but i still proceeded... With a heavy heart orz. Some videos on YouTube has shown the player playing in window mode (like Twinneh too) but sis stubbornly wanted it on full screen mode. ;___;

Actually the game is sorta like a puzzle game where you have to solve something to get to another stage. Oh, and the creepy music changes in the game too. Wonder where Kouri get all those eerie tracks. Basically it's the music that's making the whole game intimidating plus a few life-threatening moments like getting chased by The Lady in Red and those headless mannequins. D:

But from the entire game, this was the part that scared me shitless.

And i made Garry die. T_____T I'm so sorry Ib!

Ib has mulitiple endings. And to get those better ones it's best if you play the game with a walkthrough. But despite playing the game with the guide of a walkthrough, i still got a very crappy ending which was the " Together, forever " one which was mad crreepy. :S MARY YOU STALKER.

I guess i wasn't paying much attention to the walkthrough and wanted to TRY to finish the game myself. But i ended up getting the sucky ending FML. :/

So i went on YouTube and watched all the other endings and The Forgotten Portrait was the saddest IMO. Poor Garry! T________T

Conclusion is! This game is really simple but with it's awesome plot, it manages to provide a very satisfying game play. PLUS the creepy music. It's more of 'disturbing' than 'scary' IMO. I guess even the chicken of all chickens will manage to play through without getting a heart attack lol.

I enjoyed myself very much while playing this game. But i was grabbing a pillow all along... Just incase. The game has it's very kancheong moments but nothing too terrifying. Definetely worth a play! Or if you're planning to start playing horror games, give this for a start!

I actually dislike Mary in the game... But i kinda feel like cosplaying her. Would love to cosplay as Ib instead but i don't think i'll be able to pull Ib off well. Feel as though i'm more suited for Mary. :o Hmm, might add Mary in my Comic Fiesta plan.

So here i am taking a break after one and a half week of SPM trials. It's Saturday tomorrow but i still have to go to school due to replacement classes for the Raya holidays. Usually, i couldn't be bothered to attend but i have to this time cauase i have to take my Sejarah 1 paper.

So stupid lah! Go to school freaking early in the morning with no lessons whatsoever & have to wait till 11-ish just to sit for a one hour and fifteen minites paper?! (School finishes at 12.30pm btw)   Stupidest exam arrangement ever. -.-

One more week of trials and i'm done. Though i have to admit that i didn't really do well for certain subjects so far like Add Maths and Mod Maths. I was born to suck at Maths fml. :/ And my school will be using the exam papers they set themselves instead of the usual JPS ones. Which means PLUS DIFFICULTY. Kiasu school is kiasu sighs.

Anyways! Here's a short review on a short anime film i've watched sort of recently. xD (I know this blog post's title sounds very wrong but it relaes to the film!)

I have seen a few people on my Facebook timeline talking about this particular anime film along with the above picture. And they seem pretty exicted and were all "OMG SO NICE I LOVE IT SO MUCH". But it didn't really interest me so i didn't bother watvhing. However, the picture seem really interesting i kept thinking about it. :S

 



So one fine day during the Raya holidays, i decided to take a *cough* short *cough* break from studying and watch this!

 

And boy did i enjoy it! It's only a short 40-minutes movie but the impact and the feeling it carries was so intense and strong. And yes, i teared up during the last bit. So yeah, short spoiler. Sad movie. :C

 

I've never in a very long time seen a piece so heartwarming yet heartbreaking. Lol i'm serious! It's very touching and the love and relationship shared between the two main characters is so pure and innocent i don't even... T_______T

 

"I can't wait for summer to come around. When I'm away from you, even though I can't be around crowds, I want to go see you."

 

IMO, this show is sorta like a mix of Spirited Away and Natsume Yuujinchou. (HAH spoiler again, sorry!) And when i looked it up, this show was originally a manga written by, you guessed it, the mangaka of Natsume Yuujinchou, Midorikawa-sensei! :D It was one of her earlier pieces before she started on Natsume. And only around 2011, it was made into a short film. Hmm, no wonder the main guy character looked somewhat familiar. :3

 

To sum it up, it's something slice-of-life-ish with a little bit of spiritual twist in it. It's sorta slow-paced, making the movie seem a little longer than what it actually is. (For me... Not sure how others feel.)

 

It's really worth a watch if you're a Natsume fan! :D

My cure from boredom.

And it is none other than - WATCHING ANIMES! 8D

So the Raya holidays have started and so does studying for my SPM trials. *groans* Parents have been pestering me to study like everyday! Seriously don't have the mood to study sighs. And seeing all those rajin tweets and statuses from friends and school mates makes me more pressured. PEEPOL Y U SO HARDWORKING. D: Someone need to bless me with some rajin power. A trait lacking on a lazee bum like me.

Other than studying, i also managed to do some catching up on animes! (Which i happen to do more than studying hah.) Like finally! After so long! *shiawase*

First, i started off with a little bit of Inu x Boku SS.

Watched halfway and eventually... Gave up. Urgh i just don't get the storyline and all. My instincts were right, something in the story will eventually make me drop it like Guilty Crown. Couldn't exactly pinpoint on what tho. Maybe because i was disappointed on how Soushi really was. I mean, looking at all those picture of him made me think "Owhhhh he's so hotttt!" but then he was rather... Sissy? Idk. Maybe that's how a butler is supposed to be? Like Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji? I was all blek and yerrr cause of Sebastian. Apologies to all Soushi fans who might view this post. Just feeling le disppointed. Oh and the storyline was sorta crappy. And again apologies to all InuBoku fans heh. :3

Annnnnd on to Kuroko no Basuke! *Slight spoilers ahead?*
Ohhh i'm so addicted to this series now. *w* As mentioned on my previous post, i have been reading the manga and decided to start watching the anime. Up till now, it has 20 episodes and i'm proud to announce that i have watched all of it in just 4 days. 5 episodes per day heh! xD

What i really like about this show is that all of the characters are really likeable and cute! I mean, there isn't anyone i particularly dislike or hate in this series. (Excluding those side characters. I mean some of them are annoying but they only have small parts so i don't really mind... Or care. :3) And i have to say that the characters looks x100 better on anime. Not because it's colored or whatever but the drawing is really different. But the anime seems to have miss out some of the small and incredibly minor events from the manga. Ah well, if one were to watch the anime without reading the manga, he would not feel that there's something missing. But since i did read the manga, i noticed that they didn't include some smaller events.

Watching the funny and humorous parts on the anime was pretty entertaining. Kept replaying them over and over again for a good laugh! 8D

On to my list of fav charas!

This is Kuroko Tetsuya, the main protagonist of the series! SO ADORABLE RIGHT, RIGHT? :3
How can someone so cute be so cool and calm and not those typical wimpy and useless types?! Plus he's really wise and all. He's really calm, have never really seen him being comical.

This is Kise Ryota! <3 SO HOT RIGHT, RIGHT? *w* Eventhough he has those typical pretty boy face but he's really down-to-earth in the series. Has many fangirls due to being a model, yet he's not proud, stuck-up or snobby. Ahhhhh that's why he's one of my favs. <3 But he's sort of manja? A little bit whinny but it's okaaaaaaaaay. <3

This is Midorima Shintaro. :3 What i like about him is because HE'S A TSUNDERE <3 It's really rare to see a male tsundere in anime series cause usually it's the girls who are tsunderes. But but he's so cute lah, when he acts cold and aloof! Typical tsun no = yes personality, denying the truth and all. It's just too cute! *w* One of my favs too. And his long lower eyelashes heh!

Lastly, Akashi Seijuro! His full face haven't been shown on the anime tho. Only his back, eyes and lower parts of his face. But this pic above was shown briefly in one of the openings, or was it closing? Have to admit that i'm a sucker for red haired guys. *w* Hmm, Akashi is those intimidating and quiet type (According to the manga) and can sometimes be scary. D8 But i still love him nonetheless. <3 Red heads are <3

There are many more that i favor! Like i said, everyone in the show is really likeable! Absolutely love the entire Seirin basketball team. Especially Hyuuga, Kiyoshi and Izuki. Koga, Mitobe and Tsuchida are pretty funny too but too bad they're not the main players. :C The 3 first-year players are really funny too but they don't have much screen time! And Riko is one cool kickass chick. >8D I'm quite cool with Kagami and Aomine too but don't really like them as much. But it means i still favour them! Kasamatsu and Takao are super cute and funny too.

Murasakibara as well as Akashi haven't really fully debut in the anime yet but i love them too! Himuro too, awaiting for their complete debuts!

Still have many animes to catch up! Have also been catching up with my all time anime Naruto. More to come. But i shall bury myself in books first. D:<

Missing out.

Yes I'm definitely missing out on a lot of things alright. :'(

First of all, I haven't been watching anime for like, the few months?! Been sort of banned from using the computer so my only source of entertainment and what I use to keep me updated is via my iPhone. Seriously my iPhone and I are inseparable. Facebook, Twitter whatever all thru my trusty iPhone. Heck, even this blog post is written from my iPhone wtf. :O

But the downside of an iPhone is that I can't browse videos. Except YouTube and Crunchyroll. Soi resorted on reading manga but I got bored easily and it's really troublesome reading on an iPhone. >:(

Animes I need to catch up on are :
1) Kuroko no Basuke.
- Sis is hooked on this show. The manga was great and I wanna see some live action ! :D Cosplays of this series have been mushrooming a lot too.

2) Inu x Boku SS...?
- Ikr. So outdated hah. Idk. Having second thoughts bout watching this. Hope it won't turn out to be like Guilty Crown. Have seem so many cosplay a from this series too so I assume this series is not bad?

3) Fate Zero.
- Yes, super duper outdated. Really love Fate Stay Night and I know that Fate Zero will be equally awesome !

Lastly, I have not been attending any ACG events since May! :( okay, maybe there wasn't much during that period of time but I did miss out AFA MY during June sighs. If I'm not mistaken, the next event after AFA MY is Animangaki which is on the 25th and 26th of August... A few days before SPM trials. Fml seriously.

Can't find any actual pic of the awesome logo so I had to screen save it. xD They're theme for this year is 'Koukou', which means high school! Thus the school badge-like logo.

Another event I'm bound to miss out because it's in the middle of trials is Taylor's Uni's Asaban Fest, held on 1st September.

Asaban Fest was one of the few events I attended before I even started cosplaying. Taylor's Anime Society didn't organize one last year but they're back now!

So I guess my next event will be end of this year's Comic Fiesta, after SPM! A really really long way to go but time flies. Won't be attending this year's AFA in Singapore during November as SPM will be ongoing then. Definitely want to attend Cosfest in Singapore next year! Now, who shall I drag along hoho. xD

On a different note, I might be retaking my Highway Court test (or better known as 'Undang') after trials after failing the first time. /sad
If I pass then I'm one step closer to learning to drive ! So excited ! :D

As for my trials, I'm really really worried inside. I'm afraid I won't score well and might end up disappointing my parents. Blame my laziness and love for sleeping and slacking. I mean really, I'm super worried yet I'm not doing anything. I know the consequences of not scoring well yet I still won't push myself. Guess I really wanted to fully enjoy my last year in high school and just chillax and enjoy lah! So fuck the MOE for taking away our last year of happiness and well, fuck SPM.

Sighs. I guess I'll kiss the college scholarship goodbye this time.

Been missing for quite awhile as i'm not really allowed to touch the computer. D: The only Internet access i've got is via my iPhone. And mostly active on Facebook or Twitter.

But! Today everyone's out. So i get the whole house, and most of all THE COMPUTER to myself hohohoho!

Shall update this dead man's blog with a food/ cafe review!

*PS: In relating to my previous post, i didn't went for AFA. :C Therefore shall save my cosplay plans for later events. That is, if i am able to attend sighs.

So at one of my previous posts, i blogged about my trip to Penang and i stumbled upon a lovely cafe there!

So cute right! Even the signboard is pretty! :3

Macaron Cafe is located inside a shopping mall. Not only do they sell their renowned macarons, they do sell some other delicious cakes and pastries too! Since i didn't have the chance to sit down and taste more of their food, i can only review about the rainbow cake and the macarons i bought from there. But i heard that their drink are not bad too! Just have to know which ones to order. (:

And the cafe has quite a calming ambiance too. Just that i feel that it's a little too dark. i personally prefer a more well-lit place to eat... And i need better lighting to snap pics of my food ! xD

Where they store the macarons!

They were soooooooo many to choose from! Took my sis and i awhile to choose haha.

My rainbow cake and macarons were nicely packed into this brown paper bag. Thumbs up for being very eco-friendly! (Y)

These are macarons i bought. Starting from the top left row, 2 Mochas? (i forgot the name of the flavor. >__<) , 1 Lychee, 2 Operas, 2 Bubblegums (i'm pretty sure this is the name but i'm having some doubts...), 1 Yam and 2 English Rose.

Onto my review!

Since it's my first time eating macarons, i'm quite unsure on how it's supposed to taste like lol. But i can taste that the macarons were really well made. No funny tastes or textures and all. And the fillings were really creamy. What really made me enjoy these macarons was they weren't too sweet. I love sweet stuff but stuffs that are way too sweet can turn me off. :/

Mocha doesn't really have much of a coffee taste. Tastes more chocolatey but i do taste some slight coffee.  But i still enjoy it!
Lychee was not bad. Can taste and smell the lychee flavor.
Opera was my favorite among all! Should've bought more argh! D: Has a vanilla-ish and faint chocolate taste. Enjoyed every bite! (Y)
Bubblegum really tastes like bubblegum! Like those normal bubblegums with strawberry taste.Best part is it has a bubblegum scent too! Surprisingly it wasn't overly sweet like what i thought it would be.
Yam was okay. can't really taste the yam in it but it was still good.
 English Rose was my least favorite. :C Not that it tasted horrible, i juts didn't enjoy the taste. It has a really strong potpurri-ish and sweet tea smell and you can smell it when you consume the macaron. I didn't like it cause i didn't like the scent.

I ate the macarons with my family in the car while we were driving home haha!

When we reached home, we refrigerated the rainbow cake for awhile and onto nomming it. :D

HO look at the super vibrant colors! I know it's all the food coloring but whatever! Could not be bothered. :P

 Top part of the slice was covered with pure white vanilla icing and some rainbow and star sprinkles! It was a little ruined cause of the long car ride. :C

Some cream in between each layer. And if you noticed, the part between the yellow and green layer has a slightly dark color. That's cause they applied a layer of jam onto it! If my taste buds don't fail me, i'm pretty sure it's strawberry jam.

Overall, the cake was pretty delicious! Although i think the layer of jam made the cake a little sweeter but it's still great. The jam gave the cake the right amount of sweetness. :3 And the cream and icing wasn't too overly sweet and whatnot either. Basically it's a really colorful and yummy vanilla cake! 

Do head over to Macaron Cafe at Gurney Plaza to give it a try! If i'm able to go back to Penang, will definitely stop by and really sit down and enjoy the food they serve. (:
